Oreo Brownies

One of my bakes is Oreo brownies.  I was watching Lorraine Pascale on the tv and she was stating her love for brownies and she showed her oreo brownie recipe.  Now who doesn't love brownies???  They are so chocolaty and yummy and so are oreo's, so I thought I had to give them a try.  I loved them so much that I made a batch around Christmas and did a mini food hamper for some family members.  I never got any feedback, but I think it's safe to assume they were yummy.

The recipe link is below, for those of you that want to give it a try.  My first batch turned out yummy, so really is a fool proof recipe.  I couldn't find the right pan so one batch was thinner than I would have liked, so I needed to adjust the cooking time accordingly.  In fact my second batch didn't go without hitch, mainly down to my stupidity.  I wanted to make a thicker batch so used a spring form tin, well let's just say my oven needed a good clean as the batter decided to leak out the sides.

Omm nom nom!!

Will make another batch soon and do better photographs.  I have to admit the brownies look loads better with a sprinkling of snow (aka icing sugar).

Enjoy baking!!

My First Hello

Hiya to everyone who reads this!  This is my first blog post, I thought I'd start by introducing myself and setting out what I hope to achieve on this blog.

Well my name is Lisa and I'm married to the wonderful James and we have two beautiful children (which I'm sure will feature in this blog quite a lot).  I am a stay at home mum, while my two children are still so young and I am very thankful to my wonderful hubby who enables me to stay at home.  We also have a house full of pets, two doggies and three kitty cats (although one seems to have done a runner, I hope she is safe).

I like to try my hand at most things, I'm not saying I am any good at any of these crafts, but I try and I hope to share what I learn on my little adventures.  I love to bake and I'd love to get better at it.  I have also recently bought a sewing machine and I am thoroughly enjoying making things with it, I have a huge list of things I want to make, so it's just a case of working my way through it.

My ultimate goal is to be a domestic goddess.  We shall see how that pans out hey?

Hopefully I will be able to use this blog to contain all my projects and things that I learn as time goes on.  Would be great to go on the journey with everyone who wants to follow me.
